Another year goes by

Amy "Lou's" 21st Birthday with 21 balloon!!!

Well Fall is in the air and Amy just had her 21st birthday! I remember her birth as though it was yesterday and yet it was so long ago~ She is my "baby", the youngest of two daughters and I love them both more than words could ever describe. I had a wonderful Birthday with Amy and she had a really great day with her friends from school at lunch time and then out to dinner with Craig and I. She even got to order her first "legal" beer with her "dad"!! LOL...We had such a nice Italian dinner with her and then we went back to our house and Scott's whole family came over for cake and ice cream and gifts for Amy, for her birthday. She got some great gifts for her special day and though my family once again tried to be mean and spiteful and hurtful...she didn't let it get to her and she had a good time too.
Scotts mom and dad gave her 2 coupons for her favorite restaurant "San Pei", a Thai resaurant, and a beautiful necklace and bracelet from Lia Sophia (Scotts mom is a Lia Sophia consultant). Scott brought her pretty hot pink flowers with sparkles on them and what she wanted badly, he got her and that was some "invisible book shelves' for her bedroom wall...and lastly he gave her a pretty black/silver necklace too. Scottsh sister, Timarie gave her a DVD that she made with her dad's help and she's singing and dancing for Amy for her birthday...LOL and Miriam gave her a sleep mask for her eyes and a DVD "mrs Doubtfire"...we all had a nice time!
This is the month that Jessy is supposed to be getting married. I'm not sure what will happen? I try not to think about it and live with it instead of always fighting it. I will miss her til the day I die and I hope I get to have a good relationship with her someday before then.
I've slowed down a bit on the computer these days. I think being on it too much was making my pain issues worse. It's better if I use the laptop so I dont hurt my shoulder using the mouse. Anytime I sit too long, I hurt and I pay for it later with pain issues. I try not to talk about that stuff here because I want this blog to be a more pleasant part of my life. My other blog is the one where I let it all out and its very private. This one is just some things happening and life changing and things people can relate to, I hope. I have a carepage that I use for writing in any of my health/pain issues that come up. I feel that most people don't really want to hear or know about all of these issues and it gets to be such a bore after years of it. People either think you "look good" so you must feel OK....or they just usually shy away from you if you bring it up too much. So I use the www.carepages.com/carepages/suzanneshealthupdate to write and keep people who want to know my health/pain issues on there. I've met so many wonderful people there and it makes me feel not so alone in all of this.
OH And GUESS WHAT? Today our President Barak Obama, won the Nobel Peace Prize!! That is outrageous! He is not a good leader and he has always and still does hang out with the wrong kind of people. He lies about things and just like the man in the audience yelled out "you lie" when Obama spoke of "not having illegal aliens healthcare paid for in our healthcare bil", I also feel like he has lied to the American People. He was "hired", or "voted in" for the "race card" he calls himself an "African American" but he is half or more "Caucasion" too! So why not just be the President, why the whole fake Historical motive that he's the "first black President" , Because he's white too! I just don't get it!?? He's lying to us about one thing after another and now the whole Nobel peace prize thing is just a ploy , in my opinion, to get him to pull out of sending more troops out to get killed in Afghanistan. It's so sad and you know, he doesn't even have any military background so he doesn't know one iota of what those boys and men are going through over there..OUR boys /men!!!
I'm so afraid of this healthcare reform bill..you know why? Because if you are "ill" or "sick" or "elderly/old" you won't be looked at as a valuable part of society and they won't help you !! It's true because it happens in the UK and my friends have told me about it. They told me of a story of an older man only in his late 50's (not that much older!!) and he got cancer and was set up for treatment of chemotherapy. He went for his appointment and the clerk wouldn't even look up at him. He was getting upset and was telling her "I have an appointment for chemo and I'm here"...she finally looked up and said "we are not treating you any longer, the Dr has decided that your treatment is too costly". Well in the UK you don't have much of a choice to get another Dr or other treatment unless you are very very rich and can pay "privately" for your own needs. I have a friend in England who was on their version of the "L" or the "am-trak" etc.. and she fainted on there. She went into the hospital and for 5 days they did absolutely nothing for her, not even a blood test! What's that all about?? So they let her then go home and scheduled her an MRI 6 months down the road! WHAT??? She could be dead by then!! Then I have friends in Scotland who were so very worried that their daughter may have cancer. The Drs' told them that it could be that possibley or something else. They took weeks to get her blood work done and then at least a couple of months before she ever got those results which showed she did NOT have cancer but some other kind of disease that makes her hurt and have lumps that appear to be like cancer? She was so relieved and her parents/family were too, as was I! But that is too long to wait, do we want to live like that? NO>..I don't! People from Canada, come to the USA to get the care they need and want because when something is really wrong with them, their own Country doesn't come through for them. We need to leave things as they are and maybe reform Medicare but leave it all alone you know? I beg of everyone to pray that I don't or we don't lose our individual health insurance because I have quite a lot to lose if it changes. My medication alone just for my pain only not counting my regular meds costs over $20,000.00 every month and the insurance pays for all but 70.00 to 90.00 per month and that is our co-pay. The auto ins reimbursed us for that co-pay because the pain, all of the pain issues are from the car accident except for the Rheumatoid arthritis. But you know that any healthcare public program will not let me be on that medication. I will be in pain and on the couch again. Its very scary...We should really all be concerned. Well anyways...time to go and have a nice Friday night dinner out with my hubby...After I had a wonderful, nice and fun day with my Amy! Amy and I go out every Friday and today we spent the day at the coffee shop just talking and she did homework and I played on my computer awhile...talk with you again soon...
